Dental care services

The Begemotas Veterinary Clinic offers a range of dental care services: oral hygiene, tartar removal, defect repair, removal of milk teeth or damaged teeth, and treatment of periodontal disease.

The procedures are usually performed under general anesthesia to keep the pet calm and allow the veterinarian to perform the necessary actions safely and accurately. The following procedures are commonly performed:

  • Ultrasonic tartar removal
  • Teeth polishing to slow down plaque buildup
  • Removal of damaged or milk teeth
  • Treatment of oral cavity wounds, tumors, or defects
  • Treatment of periodontal diseases

All treatment procedures are performed using professional veterinary equipment.

Before treatment, your veterinarian may recommend additional tests to assess your pet’s overall health and plan the appropriate procedure.

  • Oral X-rays (teeth or jaw) – help determine the condition of the tooth roots, bone damage, and invisible pathologies.
  • Oral cavity examination – performed while the animal is calm or anesthetized in order to assess the condition of all teeth in detail.
  • Blood tests for dogs and cats – kidney, liver, and heart function are assessed before general anesthesia.
