Price is always an important criterion when paying for services and goods, so we often receive questions from pet owners about the cost of issuing an EU pet passport.

7 essential tips for traveling and vacationing with your pet with peace of mind

  1. Ensure that your pet is microchipped and that the information in the database is correct.
  2. The pet must be vaccinated against rabies and viral diseases.
    • A pet passport is required to prove this fact. It is important to note that there must be an incubation period of at least 21 days after the first rabies vaccination before the vaccine is considered valid and there is no risk of infection.
  3. The pet has an EU (European) pet passport.
  4. It was properly treated for echinococcosis.
    • This requirement applies exclusively to dogs and only before arriving in England, Ireland, Finland, and Malta.
  5. You should have a first aid kit for your pet in case of unexpected illness or injury.
  6. You have valid pet insurance that is also valid in foreign clinics.
  7. You have provided your pet with additional protection against ectoparasites, especially when traveling to southern countries.

Every responsible pet owner should check the information about the regulations in force in a particular country before traveling and inform the veterinary clinic, which will ensure that you avoid any surprises during your trip.
