Why us?

Why should you buy Advantix at the clinic?

Competent staff

The right Advantix pipette depends on your dog’s weight. If you’re not sure how much your dog weighs, we can weigh them at the clinic and select the appropriate size.

Original formulation

You receive a registered veterinary medicine supplied through the official distribution chain in Lithuania.

A happy pet

Not every dog is happy to take a tablet. Because Advantix for dogs is applied directly to the skin, it can be a practical option when giving oral medication is difficult.

Functioning

The dual action of Advantix

Advantix works in two ways: it repels parasites and kills them. This is particularly useful with ticks, as they can be affected before they attach to your dog and start feeding.

Repels

Repellent effect Ticks are repelled before they attach to your dog. The repellent effect lasts for up to 3 weeks.

Eliminates

Acaricidal effect Advantix kills ticks and fleas and provides protection against reinfestation with ticks for up to 4 weeks.

Usage

How to apply Advantix correctly

Warning – highly toxic to cats! Advantix is for dogs only. If you also have a cat at home, tell your veterinarian. We’ll explain how to use the product safely around your cat or recommend a suitable alternative.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Drops and tick tablets work differently, so it isn’t really a question of one form being universally “better” or “safer” than the other. The right option depends on your dog, their health and lifestyle.

It depends on the parasite. Advantix has a repellent effect against ticks for up to 3 weeks and provides protection against tick reinfestation for up to 4 weeks. To avoid gaps in protection, follow the recommended treatment schedule.

No parasite treatment can guarantee that a dog will never become infected. One of the reasons Advantix flea and tick treatment is used is its repellent action against ticks, which can affect them before they attach and begin feeding. If your dog becomes unwell after a tick bite, contact a veterinarian.

Advantix for cats is not suitable – the product must not be used on cats. Its active ingredient is highly toxic to them.

If you have a cat, we can recommend a product specifically intended for cats, such as the spot-on NexGard Combo. Your veterinarian can help choose the appropriate option.
